Close to the town of Blowing Rock and only 3 miles from the Blue Ridge Parkway, Arrowhead is a beautiful mountain neighborhood for buyers who prefer a quiet gated community in the High Country mountains. Arrowhead is convenient to the internationally-renowned Westglow Resort and Spa as well as popular scenic areas such as Grandfather Mountain, the Linn Cove Viaduct, Price Park, Bass and Trout Lake, and numerous hiking trails.

It is a well-maintained subdivision with an active POA. All neighborhood roads were re-paved in 2019, and the front gate was replaced in 2019.

Financial position

Arrowhead Subdivision is in excellent financial position due to conservative management by the POA over the years. The Arrowhead POA is well capitalized. This is a critical factor when assessing the strength of any subdivision or gated community.

Notable POA rules

On a scale of casual subdivision to highly restrictive gated communities Arrowhead falls in the middle of the class: reasonable restrictions about styles of homes while not being overly rule-obsessed.  

• There are existing restriction against vacation rentals.
• Arrowhead Property Owners chose to create a more permanent feel to their neighborhood by not allowing vacation rentals less than 30 days in length
  • Note: some subdivisions permit short term vacation rentals and some do not.
